For the parent first
A passenger starts the story with one sentence and puts the phone away.

Say to the child
“We will build a story one sentence at a time. You choose the hero.”

How the game continues
- Choose the hero.
- The adult says the first sentence.
- Take turns adding one sentence.
- When you want to finish, the child gives the final sentence.
You are done when
The child gives the final sentence, then say together: “The end!”
If you get stuck
If you get stuck, choose one helper: an animal, a vehicle or a magical object.
More rounds
- Swap storyteller roles.
- Use no more than five words per sentence.
- Tell the same story with a silly ending.
Safety
The child stays buckled in. The driver does not take part. Stop the activity at once if the child feels sick or uncomfortable.
