For the parent first

Clear a safe space. Count slowly to three for each statue. The child does not jump and stands on both feet if wobbling.

“Use your body to show a tree in the wind, a tiny raindrop and a big cloud.”

How the game continues

  1. Make a statue of a tree in the wind.
  2. Make a tiny raindrop statue.
  3. Make a big cloud statue.
  4. If you want, add one invented statue. Otherwise finish after the cloud.

You are done when

Finish after the cloud. Only if the child wants to, add one invented statue.

If you get stuck

Make the movement smaller or show it only with fingers. Safety matters more than performance.

More rounds

  • Make all three statues while sitting.
  • The child asks the adult to pose as a tree, a drop and a cloud.
  • Add a silent funny face to each statue.

Safety

Play in a safe spot. Nobody climbs on furniture.
