The child stays in one safe spot and describes the route using only words.

Say to the child

Choose a destination in the room and explain the route without walking there.

How the game continues

  1. Choose a visible destination.
  2. Use the words left, right, straight and stop.
  3. The adult repeats the route in words.
  4. Then switch roles.

You are done when

After the final step, say: “Finished!”

If you get stuck

Offer two easier choices and let the child pick one.

More rounds

  • The child chooses the challenges.
  • Swap roles.
  • Try a quiet version without pointing.

Safety

The adult chooses a safe area. The child does not open or taste anything and does not climb.
