Read the sentence starters one at a time. Accept each answer; if it frightens or hurts someone, change it together.

How the game continues

You are done when

Finish after the third sentence. The answers do not have to be related.

If you get stuck

If the child gets stuck, offer two possible answers or skip the sentence.

More rounds

  • The child gives sentence starters to the adult.
  • Finish each sentence with one word.
  • Complete the same three starters with new answers.
