For the parent first

Let the child observe the room for ten seconds, then look at you.

Say to the child

“Look around for ten seconds, then look at me and name three things you remember.”

How the game continues

  1. Look around without getting up.
  2. After ten seconds, turn to the adult.
  3. Name three things you remember.

You are done when

At three fingers, say: “The memory vault is open.”

If you get stuck

If the child recalls only one thing, give a clue using its colour or location.

More rounds

  • Remember only colours.
  • Swap roles and let the adult remember.
  • Find one thing that changed since the last look.

Safety

The child stays with the adult, does not block other people and only observes the surroundings.
